PMU CORRECTION · DECISION GUIDE
PMU correction or removal?
More pigment is not always the next step.

The right path may be waiting, conservative correction, partial fading or removal. Decide only after the skin is healed and shape, saturation, color, depth and prior layers are assessed.
Correction may fit when
The healed shape is acceptable, pigment is not overly saturated, skin is healthy and a qualified artist can explain a realistic color or design adjustment without exceeding safe boundaries.
Removal or fading may fit when
The shape is misplaced, pigment is dense or layered, color is unstable, a cover-up would become too heavy, or future design needs more clean space. Removal still cannot promise complete clearance.
Wait when
Work is fresh, skin is inflamed, infected, broken or still changing. Do not judge day-one color as healed color or stack procedures to fix panic.
Do / Don’t
Do: gather pigment records, healed photos and prior-treatment dates; ask for both correction and removal limitations.
Don’t: accept a guaranteed neutralization, cover-up or session count, or treat eye symptoms cosmetically.
Provider questions

- What is the likely pigment depth and saturation?
- Will added pigment make later removal harder?
- What color shifts are possible?
- When is medical or specialist referral appropriate?
