LASH CONFESSIONAL · REAL QUESTIONS
Your lash-extension questions,
answered with facts—and a tiny bit of attitude.
We grouped 63 real search questions into the answers that matter. Cute? Yes. Candid? Always. Casual about eye safety? Never.

Welcome to Lash Confessional: where “Can I nap?” gets the same respect as “Are my lashes falling out?”—but not necessarily the same facial expression.
The file contained many differently worded versions of the same questions. We consolidated them so you do not need twelve tabs to learn one thing.
QUESTION 01
How long do eyelash extensions last?
They leave one natural lash at a time—not in a tiny Uber together. A set changes as natural lashes shed, so fills restore the design rather than restart a magic countdown.
QUESTION 02
How much are eyelash extensions?
Ask which set, what maintenance and what is included. Compare the full set, fills, removal, consultation and safety—not one suspiciously glamorous number.
QUESTION 03
What are lash extensions?
Cosmetic fibers attached to suitable natural lashes with adhesive. They add visible length, curl or density; they do not create new natural lashes. Science, but make it pretty.
QUESTION 04
Can I fall asleep during the appointment?
Usually, yes—many clients nap while staying still with eyes closed. Tell the artist immediately about burning, stinging, pulling or pain. Snoring is less urgent.
QUESTION 05
Do extensions hurt?
They should not. Burning, sharp pulling, pinching or eye pain is information, babe—not a test of toughness.
QUESTION 06
Can I wear mascara?
A compatible product may sometimes be possible, but it adds buildup and removal friction. First ask why your extensions need a plus-one; a better map may solve the look.
QUESTION 07
How do I wash them?
Use clean hands, the recommended cleanser and technique, rinse thoroughly and dry carefully. Clean lashes are not optional roommates.
QUESTION 08
Can they get wet?
Follow the curing instructions for the adhesive actually used—not a random universal internet timer. Afterward, normal cleansing matters. Avoiding water forever is a hostage situation.
QUESTION 09
How do I sleep with them?
Reduce crushing and rubbing, keep pillowcases clean and brush only as directed. You do not need to sleep standing like a glamorous horse.
QUESTION 10
Can I put strip lashes over extensions?
Stacking strip adhesive and removal over extensions adds weight, buildup and pulling. Ask for a fuller design instead of building lash lasagna.
QUESTION 11
How do I remove extensions?
Professional removal is the safest practical choice. No tweezers, picking, mystery oils or salon remover in your own open eye. Your bathroom is not a chemistry lab.
QUESTION 12
Do they ruin natural lashes?
Not automatically. Excess weight, poor isolation, traction, picking and rough removal can contribute to breakage or loss. Clusters of short broken hairs deserve a pause and assessment.
QUESTION 13
Will my lashes grow back?
Often, normal cycling continues—but the cause of loss matters. Persistent gaps, pain, inflamed lids or sudden shedding need an appropriate eye or medical professional, not another layer of fibers.
QUESTION 14
Can I get extensions with straight or blonde lashes?
Possibly. Color and direction affect curl, mapping and visibility, not your worthiness for fabulousness. Suitability depends on natural-lash condition.
QUESTION 15
Can I get extensions with no natural lashes?
Extensions need suitable natural lashes for attachment—not eyelid skin. If lashes are absent or newly lost, ask a clinician about the cause before booking cosmetics.
QUESTION 16
Are extensions out of style in 2026?
Soft, wispy and personalized looks are popular—but your face is not a trend report. Choose what fits your lashes, routine and desired drama.
QUESTION 17
What should I never do?
Do not pick, pull, share eye products, ignore buildup, push through pain or diagnose swelling from a selfie. Cute lashes; grown-up decisions.
THE SERIOUS MINUTE
When sass clocks out and eye care clocks in
Stop eye cosmetics and seek appropriate care for persistent or worsening redness, swelling, pain, discharge, light sensitivity, trouble opening the eye or vision change. Breathing difficulty or severe facial swelling requires emergency help. A lash artist can document products; they cannot diagnose an eye condition.
